Le Pommoy is about half way between Château-Chinon and Autun in the departement of Saône-et-Loire.

From Autun, take the road to Nevers (D978) for about 12 miles (18 km) climbing the hill until you enter Le Pommoy. Turn left at the third curve at the zebra crossing and you will see the house immediately in front of you. Conversely, from Château-Chinon, take the Autun road, through the village of Arleuf and descend to Le Pommoy. Turn right at the zebra crossing.
Suggested Routes

From Calais, head for Dijon via Reims and Troyes. From Zeebrugge or Ostend, take the autoroute via Brussels, Luxembourg, Metz and Nancy (no tolls) to Dijon. Exit A31 at junction 4. Take D70 towards Dijon and, as you enter the outskirts, you will see a clearly sign-posted three-way split. Turn right, signed A38 (Paris.) Follow these signs, and take A38 to just before the tollbooths, junction 24, sign-posted Autun. Follow the signs to Autun along N81. On arriving at Autun, turn right at the lights, sign-posted Nevers. This route takes you to the north of Autun, turning right again to cross the river to a roundabout. Take the first exit towards Nevers, D978. Note, there are several supermarkets in Autun which are open until 19:00.

From Paris take A6 south but, just past Fontainbleau, take A77 to Nevers. It is not quite complete but it’s a good clear route and gets you to Nevers in about an hour and a half. The third Nevers exit is sign-posted Autun, so come off here and head east along D978. It’s about 50 miles to Le Pommoy and takes about an hour. Stop at ATAC in Chateau-Chinon for your shopping. As you enter Le Pommoy you’ll see Byzantium directly ahead on the right hand side, so turn right at the zebra crossing and there we are!
